Steve Hogan is a multi-skilled and qualified educator, education manager, land surveyor and computer programmer. He enjoys working as a innovator and problem solver, particularly in situations that involve the application of his wide range of skills. His demonstrated skills also include capacity building and institutional strengthening, particularly in the technical and vocational education environment.
Steve is an international education consultant based in Perth in Western Australia. He has worked extensively overseas in Bhutan, Nepal, Hong Kong, UAE and Lao PDR.
Previously, Steve was a Senior Lecturer in Surveying at Central College of Technical and Further Education (TAFE), Perth, Western Australia. He managed extensive curriculum development programs and was a member of two national committees advising the Australian Federal Government on matters relating to Surveying curricula and TAFE to university articulation.
Steve has also managed computer networks and developed software for use in the surveying industry. He is experienced in the use and application of a wide range of software and is respected as a computer “problem solver”.
In his spare time, Steve plays and sings traditional English folk music on the button accordion (melodeon) and concertina in the Perth based folk group “Band of Hope and Glory”. With his wife, Christine (see elsewhere on this site), he uses music as a “cultural bridge” when working overseas.
